Hamilton Hill family the Flavelle’s get a little reno help from Matt and Kim
Before their home was totally transformed, the Flavelle family would have done anything to have their dodgy plumbing fixed and leaky roof capped. But what they got was so much more. The Hamilton Hill family’s home was recently given a complete makeover, with the transformation to be shown on Matt and Kim to the Rescue this Sunday. Peter Flavelle, an arts worker with DAADA – a foundation providing art therapy for disabled and disadvantaged children – and has lived at the home for more than a decade with wife and DAADA co-founder Simone. They live there with sons Hugo, who was born with cerebral palsy, and Angus, who has autism. Mr Flavelle said the result of the four-day transformation could not have been more perfect. “It’s a strange situation,” he said. “It feels like we’re living in someone else’s resort. “It’s something we’re really proud of. “It’s enhanced everything – it’s beautiful.” Block favorite Matt said it was a privilege to be able to help the Flavelle family. “This definitely was our biggest, most complicated renovation to date,” he said. “We basically had to rebuild their home from the ground up. “It was a logistical nightmare but hey, that’s how you get a dream result.” You can see transformation from start to finish this Sunday at 7pm on Channel Nine.

Comment from Todd The Tiler Pty Ltd
“In 2016 we were approached to work on Matt & Kim to the Rescue to help a very deserving family achieve their renovation dream. As a company we were proud to have donated our time and to contribute the much-needed man hours required to create the ensuite and bathroom featured on Channel 9’s Matt & Kim to the Rescue. We were humbled to be a part of this life-changing experience.”
