Designing a kitchen for our client, a meticulous Mechanical Engineer with a clear vision, was an exciting and rewarding project. He sought to transform a cramped, outdated U-shaped kitchen with face brick into a modern, open-plan space tailored for entertaining a large extended family.

Key priorities included maximising storage, introducing a spacious island bench, and creating a sleek, contemporary aesthetic. By blending precision and creativity, we turned Adrian’s exacting design ideas into a stunning, practical kitchen that perfectly meets his needs.

Sophisticated Kitchen Transformation in Just Four Weeks

This once outdated, brown-toned kitchen has been completely reimagined into a modern, centralised space designed for seamless entertaining and functionality. By doubling the storage capacity and introducing island seating, we created a versatile hub perfect for casual meals and gatherings.

A refined white and grey palette visually enhances the space, with a striking 3-metre-long imported Italian porcelain slab splashback as a standout feature. Complementing this luxurious detail is a 40mm engineered Stone Ambassador Carrara Mist benchtop, offering low-maintenance elegance. The island bench not only provides expansive preparation space but also houses a bank of large drawers and additional cabinetry on the reverse side, maximising storage.

Structural improvements, such as removing the oven tower wall and brick-faced breakfast bar, allowed for additional overhead cabinetry, improved flow, and direct access to the alfresco area. Combined with new light grey 600x600 porcelain floor tiles, this kitchen now serves as a bright, open-plan centrepiece for both indoor and outdoor entertaining.
